Hiya folks,

after some 5 yrs of absence (exams/family etc) I'm gradually back at ET and glad that the community is still alive and (very much) kicking
I've been a 10yr regular on fatalpunishers (unfortunately down :( ) and played once in a while on hirntot.
I've been wondering how much happened on cheating after Punkbuster went down. When I was active, the real freaks on fp had about 41-43% acc, and they were real crackshots. Is it that now so many high level players have developed or is it the use of humanized aimbots (and maybe intermittend wallhacks) that accuracy values of over 40 are not so rare anymore?
There even was a 50 % acc in the last week (not sth. like Pf/FFE/Airstrike but light weapon usage) which I found sheer unbelievable. I hope I don't step on anyone's toes here, but I'm rather interested if it is really the skill level on the server (and my aim being frigged up after that long absence) or a rather continuous amount of haxing?
Yesterday I read a comment like "almost anyone here is cheating" but I surely hope that this ain't true.
Opinions on that?

Regards,
Yoshitsune

Whoever wrote that almost everyone here cheats was trolling. We actively ban anyone that cheats. The 40%+ acc is normal here. Don't worry, you'll get there. We also have a discord channel you can join: hirntot.org/discord

Cheers and have fun

Probably it's a mix from both.
On the one hand you have skilled players, they optimized their CFG to the max, got advantages through a good internet connection, play their cards right etc and then they reach that acc levels sometimes!
On the other hand I'm sure there are some cheaters who turn it on/off or play with lower bot settings and then you can not prove it. Without prove there will be no kick/ban... with time you won't care about it.

btw, Servus to munich :D

Thank goodness, I almost started worrying that my beloved ET went down the drain =)
I'll drop by on discord and start to try to regain my aim...

Cheers

Welcome back, I remember your nick but not much else ;)

On a sidenote, I never understood why most here automatically assume that >50% accuracy = suspicious. Today we had Ulven basically tell a player to f*ck off because he had 56% accuracy and had killed about 50 enemies. Why not congratulate the player instead of being jealous? Thank you for playing here and improving the competition, etc.

Welcome back m8.

I think the point is, we should see the difference between the typical "high accuracy rambo medic i dont care about teamplay bitch ass" and the rare "high accuracy teamplayer". Most players are annoyed of this guys so they wont congratulate them! :D But yea, thats life hm? :P

Cheerio,
