Balancing teams on Hirntot

Good evening,

as it happens quite often the last few days, I have a question to the admin role on Hirntot server:

Is it the task of an admin to keep the balance between teams on the server during a campaign?

If so, why do messages like: "XXXX have over 20000 more damage given - PLEASE BALANCE THE TEAMS!" not ring a bell?

Why do teams +3000 XP vs 1800 XP not lead to an reaction?

How would you describe a situation, where the first 4 players of my team do not even reach the XP of the 6th player of the opponent team?

I count myself to the leisure time players: I don't care if I'm last in the XP list, although I know and play ET for more than a decade with big breaks in between. I also don't care if I have 5 kills and 35 deaths. Some day my skill is really bad, the other day it is worse. :lol: I enjoy the game, not taking care of my skills. It would be MY duty to increase my skill.

BUT: I utterly hate people finding it funny to let the other team not even get out of the spawn, and getting assistance by admin - not in kind of spawncamping, but just not doing anything - as he belongs to the superior team (and leads it on 2nd position for example). That sucks! Because this is something I cannot change - there is an admin role, to prevent this game for drifting into an unfair game. Not humilating the other team, in ignoring the situation on the server.

I understand admins also want to play and enjoy their time, they cannot shuffle every minute - I fully agree. But if the admin is not interested, the game is a waste of time for half of the players on the server. But maybe the problem is also that most people are members, not admins. So they are not "interested" in the admin role at all, they also "just" wanna play. Anyway, for today I have had enough ET. :roll:

This is not the game with a possible tie result. One team has to lose and judging of what I see, fairplay-managment is a hard work with lot of shit pouring right from above on a head of an admin with mission.
Other thing is, those admins who could make a difference when joining the abused team, usually care too much about their stats - hence their reaction is late (after map is over), or simply non existent.
When repairing the world, start with yourself - shoot better motherf*cker.

This message being displayed on server is spam as far as Monty is concerned :x

On almost all maps the defending team will have more damage given than the attacking team.
This because as an attacker you are supposed to sacrifice yourself for the greater good.
You don't think the axis had substantially more damage given on Omaha in 1944? They still lost.

There is already enough messages flying around on server about players having new GUIDs, need to wait to play, etc.
Monty is trying to read the console to see who gets killed when and where, but lately there are so many new messages flooding the screen.
It makes his head hurt.

It is a difference, when people don't get even out of spawn on Goldrush (killed instantly on both spawns), or just aren't able to get the gold.
I mean, it is obvious that I did not describe a typical situation. :|
