The "say hello" thread

Post by Monty on the Run »

Howdy, strangers!

Monty noticed that the last 12 (!) players who have registered on forum have yet to write something:

FarhanNji
Ferrari
OliverQueen
abababa
Toilettentieftaucher
touzan
MaMo
psy
Hela
rezta
Exsotic
Feroo

Friends; this is not how a forum works! Only by writing something will you be able to break the ice and stop feeling like a stranger danger. Unstranger yourself, yo! And remember: you are 100x more likely to be banned for "wallhack" if you are a stranger :!:

So, Monty hereby decree that we use this thread as a place to "say hello". Monty will allow that you write whatever flows from your imagination, but to make things easier he have prepared a simple questionnaire that you may use as guideline.

If you introduce yourself and get more known by the admins, there's a higher likelihood you'll get promoted to a "Regular" on the server eventually.

Well that goes without saying, c0rnn. Noone are going to recognize a faceless mute as a regular.

And since Monty's OP we can add 5 more mutes to the list:

Sweden
bart
xiah
eldiablo80
toxicubesz

Guys, why are you even signing up for the forum? You're just going to stare at the posts, like some peeping Tom?

What's amazing to Monty is that in the last few weeks when we have introduced new maps on Hirntot there have been a steady flow of comments being shared in-game. It seems like everyone wants to chime in with their opinions about the maps.

Yet when you peruse this forum you hardly see anyone give feedback or make a request anymore. This despite Monty being gracious enough to put the map selection on Hirnfun all in the hands of the players. Never in the history of this community have you, the players who register on this forum, had more of a chance to have your voice be heard and your wishes granted. It baffles the mind, and it is actually immoral.

204 users registered on forum and maybe 4 of them post with any sort of regularity. How many of those are Poles Monty wonders... Perhaps what is needed to get forum busy is a Polish language section (enshrined with a Polish swastika), where Poles can gather and be allowed to converse in their native tongue?

What is "Polish swastika"?
What is the thing about Poles? Does it matter?

I like Poles... but it's a fact of ET that most of them prefer to communicate in their own language. This could be the reason why they don't take part in forum.

Nice one, s0nic. Didn't know you and 1.618033 were one and the same :o

Monty thinks there might be several budding musicians in this community. Monty plays the banjo, but nowhere near best in the world at what he do there.
